$500K grant approved for land preservation around Antietam National Battlefield

Frederick's mayor and Board of Aldermen voted Thursday with some dissatisfaction to transfer $268,620 from the city's reserve fund to make up what the county did not budget this fiscal year to help the city on its Carroll Creek Linear Park development, maintain a veterans memorial and provide services for the poor.
